Refinished, not recycled. These are genuine Callaway Chrome Soft golf balls that have been played, recovered, and given a completely renewed finish in our own plant. They come out looking like they just left the sleeve. That is a different product from our original-finish recycled balls, and we sell it separately so nobody buys the wrong thing by accident.

How they're made

Recovered balls are hand-sorted first, and only structurally sound ones go forward — anything with a cut or a scuffed cover is rejected before refinishing, not after you open the box. What survives goes through five stages: prep, paint on professional ball-painting lines, re-stamp with industrial pad printers, top coat, then inspection ball by ball.

This happens in a real golf-ball factory, on the same class of equipment that finished these balls the first time. It is not a garage respray. And a Chrome Soft is only ever refinished into a Chrome Soft — we do not re-badge one model as another. The core and cover construction are never altered. Only the finish is renewed.

The honest part

Refinishing renews the paint, the markings and the top coat. Because the cover is re-coated, feel and greenside spin can differ slightly from a factory-new or original-finish ball. Most golfers never notice.
