How do we grade our golf balls?

Our 7 grades are:

Brand New in the Box:

Never been touched.

Mint With No Logo's / NL:

These look like they have never been played. These balls are the best we have to offer. They will have no player marks, scuffs or blemishes. They will contain NO balls with logos.

Mint / AAAAA:

These look like they have never been played. They will have no player marks, scuffs or blemishes. They will contain some balls with logos.

Mint with Player Marks / PM:

These look like they have never been played. They will have player marks, but no scuffs or blemishes. They will contain some balls with logos.

Near Mint / AAAA:

These look like they have only been been hit a few times. These balls all have some minor imperfection that keeps them from being Mint. There will be small player marks, minor scuffs, or slight blemishes. Most people would consider these balls Mint, but we are just too picky.

AAA:

These are the same as a ball you have played with for a few holes. (They don't look new anymore, but you would keep teeing them up.) These are balls that did not make it into our Near Mint grade. They will have player marks, scuffs, or blemishes, but nothing bad enough to affect the playability of the ball.

Hit Away:

These are great for hitting into Fields, Ponds, etc. These balls will either be older balls or balls that have damage to the cover. They are great for practice when you want to be able to hit'em and foget'em.

Will you stand behind your grading system?

Yes, we stand behind our product 100%. If you are unsatisfied in any way, we do our best to resolve any issues or concerns. Please email sales@golfballnut.com or call 1-877-250-5824 with any questions.

Srixon Z Star XV Tour Golf Balls

The Srixon Z Star XV Golf Balls have pushed the limits on golf ball performance. The 2011 version of the Z-STAR lineup takes Star Performance to the next level. Star performance can be broken down into two main features: Larger cores for improved ball speed and softer covers for maximum spin around the greens. The core of the golf ball can easily be thought of as the engine of the golf ball. What is true of an engine, bigger engines equal more power, is also true of a golf ball core. Bigger cores equal more power and more power equals more ball speed. With the Z-Star Tour, Srixon has produced a premium golf ball with the largest core in the industry. To generate maximum spin around the green, a soft cover is fundamentally important. The softer the material, the more it can deform at impact and grip the face for maximum spin. With a new proprietary urethane compound, Srixon has been able to take the already-soft cover seen in past Z-Star golf balls and go even softer, leading to maximum control around the greens. The Z-Star is softer than the XV and designed for the golfer with swing speeds between 80-105 mph designed for maximum performance and a soft feel in all areas of the game.
